Not to mention that the extension on the rear wheel arches looks more modern. These AutoTecknic carbon fiber rear wheel arch extension sets utilize the original mounting location. They are skillfully made in 3K twill weave carbon fiber by our master craftsman for the perfect aesthetic and fitment.
AutoTecknic's autoclave pre-preg carbon fiber structure gives our parts superior stiffness, aerospace strength & durability compared to traditional hand-laid carbon fiber composites. Dry carbon fiber's name comes from its manufacturing process. Dry carbon fiber is formed by using a "pre-preg" or impregnated piece of carbon materials. This piece of carbon is first placed into a mold and then into a sealed vacuum (autoclave) to cure appropriately. This method creates the least amount of waste and forms a lighter version of carbon than the "wet" method. The autoclave vacuuming process of making dry carbon means fewer pinholes and virtually no air pockets in the carbon. Dry carbon is the highest-quality version of carbon fiber products that are produced.
Installation is straightforward and will take no longer than 20 min for both sides. The package includes a pair of carbon fiber splash guards, the outer lip of the arch extension set is finished off with a high gloss clear coat while the inner part is finished off in a matte clear coat.Â
Purchase includes new rivets for installation.
