Karbonius E46 M3 CSL Carbon Trunk Lid
The Karbonius E46 M3 CSL Carbon Trunk Lid is a full carbon fiber reproduction of the iconic CSL tailgate (OEM part number 41-00-7-895-884), engineered to the same exacting standards as the original while delivering a 50% reduction in weight. At just 5.5 kg, it saves approximately 11.5 kg over the factory trunk lid — a transformative mass reduction at the rear of the vehicle.
Exceptional attention has been paid to fitment and finish. Unlike many CSL trunk reproductions on the market, the Karbonius lid requires no trimming, drilling, or sanding — all mounting holes for original accessories, lights, locks, and upholstery are precisely CNC robot-cut for guaranteed accuracy and repeatability. The interior finish has been redesigned to allow installation with or without upholstery, and the piece includes accommodation for an ///M logo (not included). Prepreg and autoclave carbon fiber construction allows Karbonius to control the exact material distribution throughout the piece, with additional reinforcing layers applied in critical areas.
