The Öhlins TTX Pro Coilover System for the first-generation Audi R8 (Type 42) brings race-developed suspension technology to one of the most capable platforms of its era. Built around Öhlins' TTX — Twin Tube eXtreme — technology, the kit delivers high-resolution damping control rooted in Öhlins' active programs in Formula 1, IndyCar, and MotoGP.

TTX technology uses a twin-tube damper architecture in which an inner working tube and outer reserve tube manage fluid flow with exceptional efficiency. Separate compression and rebound adjusters provide fully independent control over each damping phase, allowing precise tuning for track conditions, tire compound, or driving preference. The system is upgradeable to three or four-way adjustability for advanced setup work.

Öhlins' temperature-compensating design ensures consistent damping output as fluid temperatures rise during extended track sessions. Handling behavior remains predictable and repeatable regardless of thermal load — a critical requirement for the sustained high speeds the R8 generates.

Ride height adjustment operates independently from spring preload, enabling precise rake and corner-weight tuning without compromising spring characteristics or reducing usable suspension travel.
